4.1 Editor Overview

The Translate & Subtitle Editor combines precision subtitle timing with video rough-cutting tools:

  1. Video Preview Player:
    • Preview subtitles, bilingual arrangements, dynamic camera zooms, and privacy mosaics in real time.
    • Supports variable playback speeds from 0.5x to 2.0x.
  2. Subtitle Card List:
    • Displays line numbers, start/end timestamps, speaker names, and text.
    • Click any word to jump video playback directly to that millisecond.
  3. Multi-Track Waveform Timeline:
    • Visualizes audio peaks to effortlessly align subtitle boundaries.
    • Dedicated effect tracks for ZoomBlocks, MosaicBlocks, TextBlocks, and DeletionBlocks.

4.2 Subtitle Editing Operations

  • Edit Text: Click directly into any subtitle card.
  • Adjust Timing: Drag the left/right handles of a block on the timeline or edit numeric timestamps.
  • Split Line: Place the playhead at the split point and click the Split icon to break one sentence into two.
  • Merge Lines: Click "Merge with next" (Hotkey Alt + M) to unite adjacent sentences.
  • Search & Replace: Press Ctrl + F (Windows) or Cmd + F (Mac) for bulk text replacement with Regex support.

4.4 Text-Driven Video Effects & Rough Cuts

1. Rough Cut Deletions (Text-to-Cut)

  • Mark filler words, stuttering, or long silent pauses as "Rough Cut Delete".
  • Marked sections turn red. The player skips them during preview, and video export automatically splices the remaining footage seamlessly!

2. Dynamic Zoom & Pan (Ken Burns Effect)

  • Add a Zoom Block and set the focus coordinate (x, y) and scale multiplier (e.g., 1.4x).
  • Enable Pan & Zoom to create documentary-style camera movement.

3. Privacy Mosaics

  • Add a Mosaic Block to blur license plates, confidential documents, or faces on screen.

4. Dynamic Text Overlays

  • Place title cards and highlighted text overlays with custom fonts and colors.
